Finally a beta release download of Windows 7 beta is available and is free to be downloaded for everyone. Developers have had taken their hands into this new windows operating system days before this beta download has been released.

Just a heads up though for those who want to test this beta version of Windows 7. You would need to have atleast Windows Vista Service Pack 1 to be able to install this.

That means anything below Windows Vista SP1 wouldn’t be able to upgrade to the Windows 7 beta. Bad news though for those Windows XP users including me.

But I wouldn’t need to worry just yet since this is just the beta version. An official version would be released a few months after which would let me upgrade from my Windows XP operating system to windows 7.

Plus the fact that since this is a beta, you wouldn’t rely on saving your files and using it in real work because it expires on August 1, 2009.

The Windows 7 that is available for download is in the .ISO format which means you would either need to burn it in a DVD or you would need a software to be able to mount it on your hard drive as a virtual rom, but you wouldn’t right? since how the hell would you be able to install it if it is mounted as a virtual file when the computer restarts?

Anyway, the download is only limited to 2.5m on micrsoft since they now that there are other file sharing sites and methods and it would do the mass sharing for them.
