Sony just issued a new firmware update for their PSP after the last update around 2 months ago, the psp firmware 5.03 update is said to have a few minor bug fixes and is supposed to improve the stability of Sony PSP.
It seems thought that the Sony PSP team has been fixing some stability updates since they have made a major Firmware update 5.00 back in october 2008. But still if you want to overclock your PSP, you can still do so.
