There’s been a rumor going around that there was a touch screen netbook that is going to be launched in 2009.

From my own opinion, touch screen netbooks are never far from impossibility because of the vast technology but still there are a lot more things that users are expecting to be improved on netbooks on 2009 such as the 3G capability of netbooks and the integration of 3G modems on Netbooks.

The recent information that has leaked about netbooks is the allegedly high resolutions of the Sony Vaio P Series.

Imagine a netbook with high resolutions. Since netbooks were made to be small and compact, a high resolution on a small screen is somehow hard on users with vision problems or users who likes bigger icons on their screens.

From my point of view, the rumored touch screen feature from netbooks in the future is nothing but marketing for manufacturers and luxury for users. Manufacturers are planning to give users a reason to buy a new netbook, so I think this is more of just wasting more money for an additional feature.
